Create and maintain an up-to-date virtual standby machine for fast disaster recovery for all of your Windows workloads including Exchange, SharePoint, and SQL. The bootable virtual machine is an exact clone of the production server as of the last snapshot.

Virtual Standby's are fully hydrated or fully pre-restored VHDK that may be exported to the Core disk or to any other network path. A virtual standby provides the fastest restore possible and will work for physical as well as virtual servers. A virtual standby allows you to have an image pre-restored and exported to a waiting hyper-visor every time a backup occurs. Thus eliminating all restore time, as virtual standby's are immediately mountable and they may be updated to the 5 minute mark, or any frequency chosen in the backup schedule.

Virtual standby's are very useful in physical to virtual (P to V) migrations. Providing immediate up time of a failed physical servers in either a VMware or HyperV environment. Virtual standby's may be deployed from the local Core as well as from the replicated off site Core.
